Education and Training Day

As a brand new innovation, beginning this year at Manchester Surgical Week, ASGBI have dedicated a whole day to post-graduate courses and workshops on Tuesday 21st April, before the full Congress begins on Wednesday 22nd. Refreshments will be provided for all half-day courses, and refreshments plus lunch will provided for the Study Day at Salford Royal Hospital.

Learning Objectives: Provide a scientific and the application of optimal midline closure, advanced energy and stapling.
Maximum 100 people

This half day course will give a scientific overview of optimal midline closure, advanced energy and stapling devices. The midline closure gives the latest scientific data on how to best close the midline after open surgery followed by a hands on session. The advanced energy session consists of a presentation on all of the different types of devices and how they interact with tissue, followed by a practical. The stapling science of tissue management session will present an overview of the staplers and be followed by a hands on session.
