BJS Workshop: How to Write a Clinical Paper
This popular short course, which is delivered by BJS editors, is designed to help you get your work into print. It is not an attempt to cover every aspect of writing, nor is it possible to go into detail of the pros and cons of different types of study design or data interpretation. Instead, this course focuses on the basic skills common to all published work that can make the difference between acceptance and rejection. The course is designed to be interactive and course materials will be provided. The course is divided into eight sections, the first of which is an introduction to the world of scientific publication. Four sections are interactive, each consisting of one or more brief tutorials, a series of related tasks, small group discussion and a review. There is a separate tutorial on issues surrounding research misconduct.
This workshop will take place during the ASGBI’s International Surgical Congress on Thursday 4th May 2017 from 12.30 to 15.30. To register for this course, please select it as an additional product when registering for the Congress here.
Please note that there are a limited number of places available on this course, and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you are unsuccessful in registering in the first instance, please contact Sarah Jukes (firstname.lastname@example.org) to join the waiting list.
This course is free of charge and is only available to delegates that have already registered for the International Surgical Congress.
