CONTRIBUTE TO THE LEADERSHIP OF YOUR ASSOCIATION
The following opportunities are available to take an active part in the management of ASGBI
VICE PRESIDENT
(2011 and 2012)
The Vice President will serve for two years (2011 and 2012) before becoming the Association’s President for 2013 and 2014. Any Full Fellow, Associate Fellow or Corresponding Fellow is eligible for nomination, which must be proposed and seconded by a Full Fellow, Associate Fellow or Corresponding Fellow. Each nominee should also prepare a short (250 word) statement detailing their qualifications for holding office and outlining their vision for the Association under their leadership.
Nominations should be received by the closing date of midnight on Monday 6th September 2010 and should be emailed, in confidence, to:
DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SURGERY
This new post has been created to oversee all aspects of the promotion of Emergency General Surgery within the Association’s activities. The post is for a maximum term of office of four years, and the post holder will be a member of the Association’s Executive Board, Council and other ASGBI committees including the Scientific Committee and Education and Training Board.

ASGBI REPRESENTATIVE TO NCEPOD
The Association seeks to appoint an ASGBI representative to the Board of NCEPOD (National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death). Information on the work of NCEPOD can be found at:
